What is an ooPoll?

An ooPoll is a collection of photos and videos shared in response to a prompt.

What do the “Classic” and “Collaborative labels on a poll mean?

Classic ooPolls:

  • Only the creator can add submissions.
  • Users vote for their favorite entry.
  • Great for getting opinions or answering specific questions.

Collaborative ooPolls:

  • Both the creator and others can contribute content.
  • Users can submit their own content and vote.
  • Perfect for contests, collaborations, and connecting with friends.
What does the trophy symbol on a poll mean?

Polls that have a trophy on the thumbnail mean that the creator of the poll is giving away a prize to the poll winner, along with the standard calculation of points (see “Earning Points On ooPoll”). Winners receive the prize automatically at poll closure.

How do I know when a poll ends?

The end time of an ooPoll is indicated by the date, hours, or minutes on the thumbnail. You can find detailed end time information in the poll details section.

How do I view the results of a poll?

You can find the results of concluded polls in the “Recent Results” feed on the Explore Page. You can also search for polls that have recently concluded in the search bar at the top of the Explore Page.

Earning Points (ooPoints)

What are ooPoints?

Users on ooPoll can earn points by engaging with content on the app. Points can be cashed in for discounts and gift cards in the store (see Redeeming Points).

How do I earn ooPoints?

Users earn points for favoriting a post in a poll, or having their own submission receive a favorite. Points are awarded when the poll closes. If you favorite a post, watch more videos to increase your payout.

How are points calculated?
  • When users choose a favorite submission, they earn 5 points for every submission they viewed in the poll.
  • For a view to count, a user must watch at least ⅓ of the submission
  • Users earn 50 points when their submission is selected as someone's favorite.
What are point multipliers?

Occasionally, the app has special days or times with point multipliers. During these events, points earned are multiplied by the number of the point multiplier. For example, if there is a point multiplier of 2, a user would receive 10 points for every submission watched and 100 points for every favorite received.

How can I keep track of my points?

Monitor your points in the bottom right corner of the navigation bar, within your profile section, or by accessing the "points summary” through your profile by tapping on your all-time points. You can also access the summary by tapping your points in the top right corner on the rewards tab.

Do points earned in a group count?

Yes! The above points rules apply to all ooPolls, whether they are classic, collaborative, within a group, or have a prize attached.

How do I redeem my points?

Earned points can be redeemed for discounts and prizes within the ooMall. To explore available discounts and products, simply click on the designated button located at the bottom right corner of the navigation bar to access the ooMall.
